Global warming, as you may already be on familiar terms with is the process that describes the earth?s temperature climb. This rise in heat is as of greenhouse grasses. Although international warming might not have a important collision on top of your life, it is likely to have a enormous and probably devastating collision lying on the lives of your children, their children, and future generations to come. For that reason, lots of educators are attractive the time to educate their students on universal warming. In fact, you may live astounded immediately how rapidly these lessons start. When it comes to comprehensive warming and schools, you will locate that international warming is being qualified by the side of a much former period. .^

The globe artichoke (Cynara cardunculus var. scolymus)[1] is a variety of a species of thistle cultivated as a food. The edible matter is buds that form within the flower heads before the flowers come into bloom. The buds go away or change to a coarse, barely edible form when the flower blooms. The uncultivated or wild variety of the species is called a cardoon. It is a perennial plant native to the Mediterranean region.'

I almost joined Vinesse just now because of an AMTRAK promotion offering points! I read the fine print and figured it was fishy right off the bat. They hook you in saying you will get wines at $6.99 a bottle with only 1 penny shipping costs. Then they say they will ship you bottles that range from $15-20.00 each. They offer you more AMTRAK points and a future wine tote. Forget this noise and get yourself to BEVMO. Do not sell your self to the devil for travel points. They will ruin your life and your credit!

Hello all,
I came across this while researching Vinesse Wine Clubs. I am thinking about doing their trial for American Cellars Wine Club. It is 6 bottles for 41.94 and .1 for shipping. Our neighbor plans to split the deal with us, so we each get 3 bottles for $21.

There is, as well, a promotion of $20 into my InboxDollars account with the first shipment So if my friend pays half, and I get $20 dollars back...it really isn't going to cost me anything. We have every intention of canceling right after we get the first shipment- no need to stick around for free wine tote with the 3rd shipment.

I have read a lot of complaints about the quality of the wines. We are NOT picky or refined wine drinkers. We live in a very dry area. The closest we can go to purchase wine is $30 miles away. And, when you are driving a 1994 F-150 pickup truck-the gas adds up.

So again, I have read a lot of people complain about the quality-but that isn't a factor in this case.

I am more concerned with the ability to cancel my membership. Has anyone had problems with that? We plan the cancel as soon as we get the first shipment. How hard do they make it to get out of the membership?

I too joined the club for the Delta miles. My first box of 6 was just about worth the $42 promotional price and came with cooling packs. To get the miles you have to accept at least two shipments. The second shipment came without ice packs - I'm in Florida and it had been on the UPS truck all day so the wine temp was about 100 - ie it was cooked. I called customer service to tell them about their 'oversight' about the cooling packs and they said they no longer needed them because they now shipped with refrigerated trucks. Well, to make a long story short, they sent me a third shipment even though I had cancelled, and I opened the box (stupid me) - again, hot. They said I could send it back at my own expense and they 'might' credit me, or I could keep it and they would credit me $42 - even though by now I was off the first month promotion and had been charged $125. I checked with UPS and they do not even HAVE refrigerated trucks doing deliveries in this area. Now Vinesse says they ship in refrigerated trucks on their end. What good does that do, I asked them? Anyway, I refused the fourth shipment, did get the charge on that one cancelled, and am no longer a member. So I've paid out $240 for $42 worth of mediocre drinkable wine (first shipment) and 12 bottles worth making vinegar out of at best. In a word: don't do business with these guys in any of their incarnations (American Cellars etc.). BTW, could have bought 5000 miles on Delta for $175. So if they had honored my cancellation after the second month, I would have paid just about $175, gotten my 5K miles and had 6-12 bottles of inexpensive wine as a bonus - which I guess is why they managed to 'forget' to cancel me.

I just joined the club to experience the wine, and ok... the points on my club made it cost free for two months. Then I did the due diligence and found this site. I will try the two months, since it's basically free, but have significantly lowered my expectations. Then, I went a step futhers and visited http://www.wineclubreviews.net/wine_clubs/reviews/Vinesse/Elevant_Society_Wine_Club/wine_club_review.html to get some other reviews and was surprised to find none. I wanted to comment on my concerns about the club, well of course you have to "join" to leave a comment, which I did, then to my surprise it's a revolving door designed to promote many wine clubs, but you CAN'T leave a comment. Something smells fishy and I expect I'll wind up so disappointed with the first order I'll cancel immediately. Live and learn, buyer beware, there is no substitute for the local fine dining recommendations. R, John.

I should have been more careful before joining the Elevant Society wine club operated by Vinesse. After receiving the two introductory bottles at $35 with no shipping cost, I was shocked to see the charge of $96 for the next shipment of 2 bottles. I looked up the wines on the internet and found that they are readily available for less than half the price. I basically paid double for the same wine. The kicker was when I called to cancel my membership, I was informed that a third shipment was already processed and will be sent for the same inflated price. This was only two weeks after I received the second shipment instead of one month. They said that this was a special Summer wine shipment and was send off schedule. I told them that I did not want the third shipment. They said stopping it will cost me $22. I canceled my membership. The way I see it, this company is running a scam and using shady and barely-legal business practices. Stay away from this wine club!
